Works on the geode platform with a 100k file....

AFAIK unfortunately busybox-vi is not just a replacement, one needs to build 
it with a proper toolchain, and replace initrd...

Also see I no big difference in size for elvis and the tiny vim reading your 
numbers above.

So either we can fix elvis-tiny to work as expected, or we may go without it 
and provide e3vi, a tiny vim and probably a full-blown one.
 
Note, I'm speaking easy cause I do not any vi version :)
