Haha.. My LRP box is a P200 w/ 64megs :) But I have a service or two
running on it also.

Well I can't help a lot because I haven't done a ppp setup, but I can
point out a thing or two.

Good place to start

And a logical next step.

Well, now first things first, each line in /etc/modules represents one
module. You've added two modules, one for the 3com 3C509, and one for
the eepro line of cards. You should only need one. BUT You said you
had a 3c905, which is a pci card correct? It's a poor numbering
scheme, but 3c509 != 3c905, however the driver for 3c590 works for
3c905. Knowledge you get from owning and using a lot of 3com boards :)

You say 'the NIC' and if you correctly typed that you have a 3c905, no.
You'll need another network card module. I've only ever used the
EigerStein type images, but AFAIK this module should work for your
card:

Good luck!
