I have a running system which boots of a EigerStein CD (kernel 2.2.16) on a
Pentium I 133. The smbd works just fine for our intranet. I intended to have
a fax service as well and was able to get efax working, unfortunately only
from the command line.

Following the instructions in the SAMBA Printing Howto by Dave Hng I was not
able to get the service working as a SAMBA Printer. I had problems to get the
parport_pc.o and lpd.o modules loading. I'm not sure whether I need these
modules to get lpr working correctly or not. But at the moment I have no time
to investigate further.

But I think it is definitely the easiest way to configure a samba printer as
mentioned in the efax man pages. So if you have more success in getting a
running fax server, please let me know. It has to work somehow.
