If you can find a shell of a system, all you really need is a power supply, a floppy, and a riser card w/ two pci slots on it. My guess is you could find all of that for sub $300US.
Here is one I found fairly quickly, just need to add the necessary parts http://www.mpcparts.com/prodspecs/050129.asp http://www.goroyalpc.com/product.asp?m_cat=s_hardware&cat=caserackmount&acti on=show&id=380_caserackmount these parts should get you started. I know, this is a dumb question (because I should be confident in the answer) but: A friend of mine is ordering in a 3mbps line (for his new small business) from the telco. Obviously then, a 10/100 NIC on a LEAF system should be able to keep up with this. Right? IE; 10 is much bigger than 3. My plan is to set him up with an LRP box and save him $$$. I guess I have a second question: Does anyone know of a reasonably priced, LEAF suitable rack mountable PC??? *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* John Mullan http://mullan.dns2go.com/ Personal: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Business: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Leaf-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user _______________________________________________ Leaf-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user
