An excellent suggestion, and I fully intend for the next major release to have completely re-worked network scripts, and the firewalling stuff will be seperated from basic network setup (with support for the users choice of firewall scripts, like shorewall). It's a bit much to try to fold into the existing Dachstein, however (at least while still calling it Dachstein).
