The exact wiring depends on the controller used on your LCD, and the pinout
of your particular LCD module, as well as the software you are intending to
use to talk to the LCD (there's no single standard for hooking up a parallel
interface LCD to the parallel port).

If the module uses the standard Hitachi 44780 interface (implemented by the
Hitachi 44780 series LCD controllers, and *MANY* virtual clones from
multiple manufacturers), you might be well served by the "WinAmp" LCD wiring
configuration, which is documented in many places around the 'net...I happen
