Hallo all!
I'm using bering rc2 sucessfully (Thanks to all developers) and
wanted to add a wireless network adapter to my system.
I compiled hostap_plx.o from http://people.ssh.com/jkm/Prism2/
and added it to my bering box (486,120mhz). Everyting seems fine, it
is added as wlan0 and when I install wireless.lrp iwconfig shows
some information on my adapter. Also iwpriv shows the private ioctl's
of wlan0, but when I try to change a value I get:
Interface doesn't accept private ioctl...
89F0: Operation not permitted

If I put the card and plx adapter to a "normal" PC using the same
driver (Prism2-2002-05-19.tar.gz) and the wireless tools from the
wireless.lrp package everything works just fine?

The only thing I can imagine now is that there is a problem with
different kernel sub-versions because I compiled the hostap_plx.o
driver on my SUSE 8.0 distribution and transfered it to my bering
box??
It would be fine if someone has some hints for me, at the moment
I'm stuck.
Thanks
Dirk
