Bonsoir Jacques, and Hi, all leaf-users ! Yes, of course, I understand the difficulty to maintain something so personal as this 'initrd.cdrom' file.
But don't forget that I am a Linux beginner and I don't know, but I stude it, all the files and commands use in this very fine OS. And, as a newby, I have - first - read the manual, and it is writed that it is possible to download this file "if somebody is in a hurry", and I was... Of course, without this file, I have done the suite and my CD is ok now (I am using it to protect my W2K-pro station during the post of this mail). I suggest you to cut the text about this file in the manual, and to start directly by saying : "You MUST create your own 'inirtd.lrp' file by yourself because it is so personal that we can't do it for you." And all discussion or lost time will be avoid ! Sorry to have been so ridiculous to ask this file, but I hope to begin a GURU as all of you in few monthes ;-)) This is the proof that it is better to do by himself that to obey ! My next step will be IPSEC... Best Regards to all readers. Well I just forgot to upload this file but you are the first one to complain about it since the way to create it is explained here: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/bucdrom.html#AEN1015 initrd.cdrom is nothing more that initr.lrp with the 5 appropriate modules you can get from here: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/bering/latest/modules/drivers/ide/ loaded in /boot/lib/modules and declared in the proper order in /boot/etc/modules Would it ber really necessary/useful to create a specific version of initrd.lrp for something which is quite easy to do by yourself ? This package would then need to be updated each time a new kernel image is generated. (think about the poor developpers...)
