IIRC, David Douthitt's Oxygen LEAF variant[1] has support for
network package loading.  I don't remember all the specifics,
but you can probably find them on the LEAF site or by searching
the mailing list archives[2].

I don't think anyone in the LEAF group has released any tools
for network backups, but I could be wrong.  It's definitely
an interesting idea though.
