You ignored his point about the nameservice. In a multi-LEAF setup,
startup sequence could become an issue... which would be even less
desirable there than in a small system.

I have pretty much eliminated floppies from my system. I use CF or HD,
and maintain backups using lrcfg-to-media and scp-to-linux-workstation.

For such a minor thing, I would think scp would be sufficient.
