I really don't know how to provide more info. But I think my questions have been answered. A combination of information from you guys and reading some different things and experimenting.
My question really was is the virtual interface, device:number, deprecated for some reason? Meanwhile I have decided it doesn't really matter. But thanks, as always, for the help. P.S. If you are really curious about what I'm doing, I will attempt to illustrate it better. First ... what's the question? You don't ask one here. Second ... both Jeff and I commented earlier that informed discussion of this topic needed some details, like a look at your interface list and your routing table, as well as your telling us how you add these addresses. This remains true. -- -------------------------------------------"Never tell me the odds!"-------- Ray Olszewski -- Han Solo Palo Alto, California, USA [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: Influence the future of Java(TM) technology.
