It looks like you are forcing cable modem to full duplex connection. AFAIK - there is no cable or DSL modems supporting full duplex on ethernet side. And yes - from my expirience - it (full duplex) will works until it jammed by havy traffic. As for me it works even faster than half duplex, but not so long.
