Bering is utimately more flexible and supports a ton of more hardware/protocols. If your running a cable modem or dsl and only want 2 interfaces with no DMZ or IPSEC and build your own firewall ruleset, FloppyFW would seem to be a feasible option. I can't compare the security since FloppyFW doesn't have a "default" ruleset. There's nothing wrong with this, it's just a matter of preference. I'd be interested if you would try it and send me your opinion of FloppyFW. -- ~Lynn Avants Linux Embedded Firewall Project developer http://leaf.sourceforge.net ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility Learn to use your power at OSDN's High Performance Computing Channel http://hpc.devchannel.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
