You later mentioned this is on hda3. The problem with a regualar boot loader is that the filesystem is compressed ramdisk on a DOS partition, so you must get Grub to run and turn over everything to initrd to run properly. I haven't tried this myself, as UML does the same thing w/o needing to reboot the box. What Jeff was saying is that: "I am trying to boot Bering from Grub on a hardisk" doesn't give us _any_ idea what you have done. All we can do is guess and assume what you may or may not have tried. To get better help, the grub "/boot/menu..1st" and any changes you've made to the Bering image would be most useful to providing a helpful response. -- ~Lynn Avants Linux Embedded Firewall Project developer http://leaf.sourceforge.net ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility Learn to use your power at OSDN's High Performance Computing Channel http://hpc.devchannel.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
