so all I have to do then is uncomment the pci-scan line and add another line that says rtl8139 and it should work?

You should not have to compile anything. The module is already on the CD. Just edit the file /etc/modules to declare your cards. I think it is somethingrtl8139 and maybe it also need pci-scan module too. I do not have access to my router here but if you need details, let me know and I will send you the sample. Hope that helps.
