Running ip addr returns no ip for eth0. Eth1 gets the static address it has been assigned. Running pump -s returns "Operation failed", as do pump -R or -r, with or without adding pump -i eth0. I tried switching the order of the nic drivers to see if it was a hardware problem. They both run fine as eth1, and fail to collect an ip as eth0. I tried not loading the shorwall package (read somewhere that it might block packages from the dhcp server), to no avail. My debian box has no problem connecting, no fancy configurations required by the provider, same /etc/network/interfaces as the default LEAF box one (minus the static eth1, only one nic). Dhclient gets an ip no problem. Really, I have no idea what might be going wrong. I briefly tried running with the dhclient.lrp package, but it seems to require a file called /etc/init.d/network in some scripts, which isn't there. Maybe I need to explore this route further, but it's strange that pump doesn't want to work. -- Alex Borghgraef ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
