Hi, all. I'm currently planning to equip my Bering-uClibc box with additional wireless capability, and I'd like the DWL-520 to do it. There are still some of these cards around, and I know that the Prism2 chipset works great with hostap.
Now, the only thing I don't know (stupid) is whether my hardware will support the card. There's rumor and hearsay that the -520 is PCI v2.2 compliant, and will not correctly work on older PCI v.1.0-1.1 buses. Now, my box is an old IBM PC330 (Type 6576), and I was finally able to figure out that it runs an Intel TritonII (82371SB) chipset - I think that it's at least an Intel 430HX, but I'm not sure sitting here at work. Has anyone had success/failure with this setup? Alternatively, can anyone tell me what PCI version this chipset/system board supports? Thanks in advance, -joe. -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup CareerBuilder.com has over 400,000 jobs.
