I've been digging through the Bering wireless documentation, Jean
Tourrilhes HowTo, and google for the last couple of days trying to find
out how to configure Bering-uClibc 2.0 with a 3Com 3CRDW696 wireless PCI
card in a P100 machine booting from CD. Can anyone point me to some
specific/detailed documentation or explain what drivers/modules/packages
are required for this card? I believe this card uses the Prism2.5 chipset
and from what I've read, I think the HostAP modules should work but I'm
lost as to which modules/packages are required to set this up as an AP and
how to configure it all? I have several of these cards and retired P100
machines laying around and would like to use them as AP's to provide some
area coverage for a small school campus. If anyone has suggestions or
better ideas on how to do that with this hardware and cards, I'd be grateful.
Thanks,
Rob
