Hello-

I'm having some trouble with getting the lcd to work with Bering-uClibc. It powers on and shows the boot screen when Bering-uClibc boots up but that's all it does. Just blinks the boot screen over and over again. I've set the baud rate to match (9600) and tried changing some of the settings in lcd4linux config but nothing changes. Hooked it up to a Win2003 server to make sure and the crystal control software works fine with it, so I'm guessing my settings in Bering-uClibc are incorrect.

My setup-

Bering-uClibc 2.1.1 on 8MB CF
Crystalfontz 632 (serial)

I downloaded and configured the latest Bering-uClibc, on a floppy, and got the same results. Any insight to what I'm missing is appreciated.
Without seeing any output of lcd4linux or at least the config file you're using, I doubt anybody will be able to help.

To get some meaningful error messages/debug-output, please do the following:
# svi lcd4linux stop
# /usr/sbin/lcd4linux -F -vvv -q

Let that run, and you should hopefully see something that would explain what's going wrong (terminate the program by hitting CTRL+C). If not, post the output back to this list, I'll have a look at it. If you do so, please also post the contents of your lcd4linux.conf file.

Both outputs should be posted inline, not as an attachment, since the mailing-list software will strip all attachments.

Oh, just a "wild guess" - this box that's running Bering uClibc doesn't happen to be a SBC like a Soekris or a WRAP? The reason I'm asking is because even though the serial ports on those boards are within the specs for RS232 (or close enough that most things still work), some devices don't like the lower power levels used on such boards. Just an idea.
