I have these two shorewall rules: # redirect port 80 for web server DNAT net dmz:192.168.2.1 tcp 80 DNAT loc dmz:192.168.2.1 tcp 80 - $ETH0_IP The second rule permits access to the web server 192.168.2.1 in my dmz from my local network. The variable $ETH0_IP is set to the external IP. I set it in the init file via: ETH0_IP=`find_first_interface_address eth0` All of this is was gleaned from Tom Eastep's excellent docs. I hope this helps. To get more help you need to show us your shorewall rules and network setup.
