My last sentence meant that if the subnet mask was 255.255.0.0 then the ping packet would not be forwarded to the router to route to the computer on the loc side. However since you subnet mask is ok you can ignore that. What OS are you using on the server? If it's Windows can you send the out put of tracert -d -h 3 192.168.1.254 Huy
