If your card is indeed atheros based (I don't know if it is) please see
http://leaf.sourceforge.net/doc/bucu-ap.html on how to create a WPA/WPA2
access point (brand new, so if you've already searched the docs before
posting, you wouldn't have found it).

If you're looking for docs on how to create a WEP (or even open) access
point, you might want to look at
http://leaf.sourceforge.net/doc/buwireless.html#id3229685
it's about a different chipset and for Bering, but the settings in
/etc/network/interfaces should be the same
