Hej all,
I'm trying to find out how to setup a special thing and need help at
this point. Hope to find it here....
Mhhhh... this is completely OpenVPN related, so the best answer
canprobebly be found there.
Well, yes and no..... If my intuition is good, the openvpn guys would
redirect me back to you.
Don't trust your intuition too much, the guys are friendly.
I think I need the to NAT the device tun0. I
found a hint how to do it usually, but cannot 'translate' that to Bering:
Why would you need to NAT tun? To get a return route for traffic to the
internet, right.
# initialize natting for openvpn
iptables -t nat -F POSTROUTING
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -s 10.66.66.0/24 -j MASQUERADE
Or a route is missing on the Bering-Box...?
My normal recommendation is.... follow the packet trail. Do a tcpdump on
the tun interface, look for the routes on your Bering box, look if the
packet goes that way and look at the sorce address....and tell us what
you see :-)
I just signed pu that list and will put in the question there.
Good idea
cheers
Erich
