It's a known issue. 'Terminated' message, that appears sometime, is caused by killing shellscript that prints rotating slash (shellscript should process signals, but for unknown reasons sometimes it doesn't). It appears after kernel upgrade to 2.6.x. Maybe killing after short delay should remove this message.
