I didn't try the x86_64 first because there's no serial version of it. I've created a stick from Bering-uClibc_5.2.3_x86_64_syslinux_vga.tar.gz and replaced the /syslinux/syslinux.cfg file with the one from Bering-uClibc_5.2.3_i686_syslinux_serial115200.tar.gz. And I removed the quiet kernel option.
