Dave u missed 3 things:

Bradley Johnson got caught pissing about on the edge of his box for the first
goal. He was terrible last night, his distribution is shocking and when he
tries to beat his man when playing on the left it is laughable he's not good
enough.

Becchio - missed yet another sitter in the first half. He's so painfully not
good enough for this league. At least Grayson appears to be planning for his
replacement. Remove the pace, control and skill of Watt and Sam up front and
you're left with not much.

Collins - pedestrian at best. Accident waiting to happen. ...... And it did
last night.

Could have been worse Higgs pulled off a great save second half when we were on
the ropes.

Trying to get a ticket for Barnsley it's bloody hard when you're a part timer.
Barnsley only selling to people who have bought tickets off them before.
Another team throwing away revenue on an attempt to keep away the nasty Leeds
hooligans.

Well it was a case of back down to earth after the glories of Saturdays
performance. We looked (Gradel excepted) very lacklustre and had no real drive
or passion in what was a pretty tedious affair for the most part .A decent
crowd of 16,509 turned up and looking at the size of the queue at the ticket
office many decided to turn up on the back of Saturdays win. The stewards again
went into "all sit down mode" - quite right when you look at all the deaths and
serious injuries caused by persistent standing on Saturday !
We started the game on top but fairly sluggish and not really carving out any
chances - Max was the only one showing an interest and he was buzzing round
causing them all sorts of problems and did link up well on a number of
occasions with Somma whose all round play looked decent enough. Neither side
threatened much and were mainly cancelling each other out - we had a header
just over and a couple of half chances - when we had our best spell of the
game. A corner to us led to the ball being passed back and back some more and
then back again to Higgs (as I was screaming don't give it this keeper!) when
his clearance found Kilkenny who turned his man and fed a nice ball through to
Max, who instead of trying to beat their whole team hit a lovely cross first
time into the box and Somma glanced it into the net. An excellent well worked
goal.
We then really created some pressure and one run into the box by Max - with the
ref twice waving play on as the Leics players hacked at him - ended in a
scramble and a clearance off the line. We then began to lose possession and
they came more into it. Higgs made a couple of good saves but an equaliser
started to look inevitable and that is how it proved - a good bit of passing on
the edge of our box and then the ball in our net. Nothing much happened after
that until a huge punt into our area was met by Collins totally on his own but
the ball bounced up and hit his hand and the ref pointed to the spot. Howard
sent Higgs the wrong way and sent us out.
We did not really deserve anything from the game, dominating possession at
times but not creating much - we really missed the drive and runs of Sam and
Watt (who was also very subdued when he did get on)
So 9 out of ten for Max and a very average 6 for the rest of them (OK give
Somma 7 for scoring)
Disappointment all round
Still roll on Saturday at Watford and the important stuff
Dave
