Re the favourite hairdresser bit.......I recall as a young lad, being taken
to have my hair cut to a place also near the railway station.  It was a
special place.....all the barbers were handicapped in some way......I
believe they were all WW2 veterans.  Some had higher soles on their shoes to
make up for a short leg, etc.  Being very young, I asked a lot of questions
at the time....they all were super guys.  I guess that place is long gone by
now.  Leeds, I'm sure, was proud of that special place.
