Amazing! That was my first ever Leeds game too (not that there have been that many more, having resided in Dublin, Boston and Washington, DC, since then). I was a lad growing up in Surrey and my dad took me for my 9th birthday present. I wore a Leeds rosette! (When did they go out of fashion?) The Leeds team included Billy Bremner and most of the latter Revie period stars and I remember the enormous thrill of watching them stroll around the field testing the surface in their suits before going back into the changing rooms to get ready. It was a good game and Leeds won 2-1 with Duncan McKenzie scoring both goals. A quick Google search informs me that the crowd was 36,003. We sat in the stands and one of the Arsenal supporters nearby said he'd never seen as many away supporters at Highbury.
Thanks for bringing back the memories! Cheers!
