Viws from the pulpit: Cardif's tactics of pressing our defenders and forcing them to hoof it long was a good one - when players aren't comfortable on the ball it causes panic. Their goal - Jeez, everyone has their Brendan Ormsby moment, but that was as crap a bit of 'defending' as I've seen in a long time. We deserved at least a point, but given the toothless attack it was a genuine surprise when we scored. I've always liked Keogh, but his header straight at the keeper was a perfect example of the lack of sharpness when it comes to putting it in the back of the net. Bechio - Christ - he is pointless. At least Cormack can run and has a spark about him. Atmosphere - it looked and sounded awful on telly. Surprised the Ticket Office don't fill the MNES from the middle outwards - a blue mass of empty seats didn't exactly convince re the sleeping giants mythology! Still, we didn't lose. Their kit was truly horrible too. JOhn

The defence remains a concern. O'Dea just not good enough and Lees needs a partner to bring him on. Kisnorbo is a better defender but he gives way stupid free-kicks all the time. I think Grayson is accommodating Pugh - let's face it having signed him from the premiership he's not going to stick him on the bench which is a shame because I think Sam would provide real balance and would be dangerous when paired with White. Today Grayson actually swapped Pugh and White as it became apparent that Pugh was just a passenger whereas White was not only our bet defender but also very effective down the left wing. He's slowly becoming our best player - I said it all along. Couldn't believe we shipped him out last season when we didn't have a decent left back. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
