Bit of a mish-mash of an article... I'd opine that a big part of the reason why people are falling out of love with football is in part due to sugar daddy owners, but more so due to Sky TV:
- the multi billion TV contracts divided out to the clubs is largely squandered by weak Chairmen or not even enough to pay the bananas wages of the players. The shortfall in income brings exorbitant ticket prices, and even when it's not that, no Chairman has yet resisted the "it's the Premier League, you should pay Premier League prices" nonsense. - Sky Sports News and rolling coverage of absolute bobbins (same as 24 Hour news in general) via the yellow ticker tape of "EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!!" like say Joey Barton sends a new tweet.
