Let's set the record straight. A lot of good and interesting people have left. A lot of unneeded nastiness has replaced some very funny conversations. I was at the last list meet. Really enjoyed myself and felt good to belong. I made friends with Sean and Terry Emmott who I try and meet when in Leeds. All of whom seem nice people. But one by one they've gone. I now understand because of the tone of the list. I no longer enjoy reading the banter. There are no real 'in jokes' any more. When I see a letter from my personal nemesis I wonder what insult or needling I am in for now. That's something that I can do without. Gladly do without. I don't need some trite answer about what I can do. I know fine well what I can do. I'll decide that. I do know that I did like the list as it was. I don't like it as it is. I do not appreciate the present state of affairs. I do miss the way that it was. Is it possible to put the clock back? Is there a better refuge for us oldies who got disillusioned? Does anyone have a polite constructive answer?
