Wikipedia is now saying... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdullah_bin_Hamad_bin_Isa_Al_Khalifa)
On July 6th 2012 it was confirmed that Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had completed his takeover of English football club Leeds United for a reported £20. The announcement on Bahrain's premier sports channel bought to an end weeks of speculation regarding Leeds' new owners. Interestingly, he had tried to purchase the club in 2003, however the move was blocked by his brothers. Abdullah has followed Leeds United for some time and famously watched his side's famous 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup in a directors box at the ground. Abdullah contacted Manchester United only days before the game hinting at potential investment in the club and asked if he could watch the match seeing as he would be in the country. Manchester United gave Abdullah the VIP treatment for the match but he was thrown out after Jermaine Beckford's first half goal for his wild celebrations. Abdullah has spoken on record about his hatred of Harry Kewell for his transfer to Galatasaray while he counts Andy Hughes as one of his close friends. A picture of Hughes - giving the 'Leeds Salute' to the Gelderd End after Leeds won promotion in dramatic circumstances from League One on May 8, 2010, against Bristol Rovers - hangs in Abdullah's office and Hughes has been a special guest of his, at his palace, on many occasions. Ha ha. It must all be true....
