For me, what got Hock sacked was the kind of dopey comment he made afterwards - along the lines of 'the lads are in the dressing room and can't understand how they didn't win'. From my perspective, that f***ing idiot Murphy cost us the game - was it only 2 weeks back I'd said his lack of control would end up in either a broken leg or sendings off? No surprise.
This is what happens when a rich owner decides he knows best - eventually he'll accept he doesn't, and the quicker he learns that the better for all of us. Unless he gets a proper manager in - and god knows who'd want to work for him - then it is going to be more pain. Ah well, at least we won't get Colin back! No doubt there'll be a few optimist who thought we battled well with 10 men and nearly nicked it. Rubbish, we were shit with 11 and 10 men on the pitch. Norris's cross and Smith's conversion was the only decent play in 99 minutes of football. As Rog said, there are players out there that cannot do the basics. Bradford had the better players. Taylor - 7 I thought he did ok and to be honest looks like more of a keeper for this level than Silvestri. Maybe could have done better with their 2nd. Wootton - 3 . He's terrible, no pace, no idea. He was buggered after 65 minutes and was floundering all over the place. Surely not good enough at this level. Warnock - 3. Terrible. Started lively ( first 10 mins) but then gave one of the most inept left back displays I've seen since Ian Harte. He ball watches and spends more time on his arse. What was he doing for their second goal ? Cooper -5 struggled at times against an average Bradford attack. Pearce - 6 some good defending if not a little desperate at times. Murphy - 0 brainless. I said after this guys debut that he didn't look to have the ability and I've continued to say it since. Tonge - 2. Awful. I've been moderately impressed by Tonge's recent performances but he made no difference last night. Norris - 7 I thought he was our best player but that is on the basis of him providing one decent cross and putting in a real shift. For a bloke who hasn't played for ages he really covered some ground. He was the main reason we held on for so long. He'll probably get a chance on Saturday with Murphy suspended and I think that will improve our team. Good look to the lad. Bianchi - 1. This bloke is chronic. Who touted him as a playmaker ? He can't pass ? Off the ball he just points around the pitch but isn't sure what he is doing. His sum contribution was a nice little flick to nearly create a chance. He has a guaranteed place in the team though. Smith - -5 big donkey who could given the service be effective at this level. He doesn't look as fit or as sharpe as he did last season. A big lummox. Sharp- 2, I thought Billy was shit. He looks like he's running through treacle at the moment. I think he is struggling. Subs: Poleon - shite. The Hock - 10. He'll get it right. > On 28 Aug 2014, at 12:18, Roger Goodair <r.good...@bradford.ac.uk> wrote: > > Hi folks (comes out of lurk mode), > > I was > > Tel: 01274 235332 > Email: r.good...@bradford.ac.uk > > > _______________________________________________ > Leedslist mailing list > Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist > To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org > > John 'Grampa' Sykes > Rest In Peace old lad > 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 > MARCHING ON TOGETHER _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER
