Settle might be a nice choice, but better might be Ilkley. In Ilkley you can walk straight onto the moor from town and make it as long or short as you like, there's a train service to Leeds, and loads of places to eat/drink. Lots of nice places around us in Knaresborough/Harrogate, but loathe to recommend hotels/b&bs as never stayed in any. Mail me off list when your plans are firmer and I'll offer any help I can. Nick, For my money I would go for a train in and out of Leeds to somewhere like Settle and then check out the local spots there for accommodation (the Lion is one of our favourites http://thelionsettle.co.uk/rooms/). Cheapest tickets to game will be from https://www.virgintrainseastcoast.com/ but tickets for your travel dates aren't announced yet as you can only book 12 weeks in advance on the line from London to Leeds.
