I thought Villa were lucky and for me we were superb 2nd half. Some of our play
second half was breathtaking. Simple, skilful pass and move football that I
love and I'd put that 2nd half performance was the best of the season.

I just love the confidence about the team. I think Hernandes early in the
season was playing on his own and had nobody around him. With everyone at the
top of their game he looks like fucking Zidane, laying balls off left , right
and centre.

When the ineffective Roofe was dragged off, I think that completed the jigsaw
for me. Wood for all his limitations ( and he has a lot) had more impact than
Roofe.

The one / twos and the running from midfield was reminiscent of Speed, Strachan
and McAllister moving forward and with Bridcutt playing the Batty role I think
we completely outplayed an average Villa side. I thought we were that good and
I was very proud of our team and I haven't felt that for a while.

All ruined by a stupid mistake by Cooper - I think he's done this before hasn't
he ?

Fucking great and I think if we play like we did second half automatic
promotion is a possibility.

Scores:

Green - 9. Would have got 10 if he'd saved the pen. Brilliant keeping
throughout and he's proved why he got picked for England. He's a good keeper.

Ayling - 9. I thought he was pretty average first quarter of the season but
he's our most improved player and his performance today was outstanding.

Beradi - 8. Playing out of position, I'd play him there in front of Taylor who
doesn't want to play for Leeds.

Jansson - 9. What more is there to say ? Goal, defending great.

Cooper - 7. Stupid defending, other than that he'd done ok.

Bridcutt - 8. I love Bridcutt, he's my type of player . Simple, easy football
that just takes the opposition apart. One or two sloppy passes but I think the
decision to take him off was Monk's only bad one of the night.

Philips - 6. Poor first half, but battled through and his interception in the
dying moments to deny Villa was exceptional. I don't think his performances
merit him a starting place but I think he's done ok tonight.

Dallas - 6. Ok, I'm gonna say it, I don't rate this lad. Yes he's got a bit of
pace but is he a winger, is he a midfielder, is he a crosser, is he a passer ?
Not sure. He's a misfit.

Sacko - 7. Frustrating as usual. He's priceless at this level though, scared
the shit of them but with a bit of composure he could have had a hat-trick and
created 3 others.

Roofe - 3. Looked like a fish out of water. Contributed nothing and for me
lacks the legs and presence for me. I don't think he will make it at this level.

Subs:

Hernandes - 9. Total quality. I was frustrated with him early in the season but
as I said earlier I think he was operating on a different level but now I think
there are others with him. He looked a class above.

Wood - 6. Did enough but he's a lump.

Monk - he will be disappointed with the result but He's made a team here that
will get better.

On that second half, I'm going to revise my season prediction. I think we will
win the league.

We are Leeds.
