Day started early for me in 'Spoons and there seemed to be a lot of optimism
around. Conditions were terrible but we started exactly the same way as we did
against West Brom. Great football and they didn't really have a kick in the
first 30 mins. We missed chance after chance as shots were fired by Bamford and
Allioski into the top of the South Stand. Harrison missed from 3 yards out and
Roberts headed wide unmarked.  I firmly believe if we had converted one of our
chances in that initial half an hour we would have buried them. They are a well
organised team with a good defence and a couple of lively strikers in
McGouldrick and Sharpe but overall I just think they're an ordinary, hard
working team. I've seen them half a dozen times this season and I don't think
they are as good as we are.
The problem with us is that having not got our goal after 30 mins the intensity
dropped 10-20% and the game became very even. They didn't really threaten us
but the game was more even in terms of possession. Second half we upped to
tempo again but never to the same intensity. Roberts fired against the bar but
apart from that we created very little in the 2nd half and then got done on the
break when Cooper seemed to lose possession to sharp who layed it on a plate
for their big no 6 Basham who finished well. Where was our left back ?
We pushed forward and had two great chances. First Roberts fired against the
bar and then an injured Jansson who was playing up front put it wide from 3
yards. I would have taken that.
They did us on the break again and sharp was taken out by Kiko. Straight red.
Hope BFP has been keeping himself fit.
Wilder said it was a smash and grab. He was right. I don't think this is over
by a long shot and I don't think they have the quality they think they have.
Their keeper reacted like they'd won the league on the final whistle - probably
due to the abuse he had received throughout the match due to his Scum
connections.
Milwall next.

Casilla - 6. I don't like the distance he comes off his line.
Ayling - 6. Thought he did ok first half pushing forward but I do think he's a
weak link now.
Allioski - 7. Generally did ok and his cross to Roberts in the first half was
great but he didn't have his shooting boots on today.
Cooper - 5. One mistake cost us and we used to say this regularly about Cooper
but not so much this season if at all so I think he deserves not to be hammered
for this.
Jansson - 7. Spent most of the match on his back. There were some bad
challenges going in but for a big bloke he is a bit of a pansy. Should have
scored at the end but he was struggling to walk / run. How bad is his injury ?
Hernandez - 8. I thought he was lively throughout and our best player.
Philips - 7. Didn't do anything wrong and battled hard. His shooting is awful.
Harrison - 5. Thought he was pretty poor
Roberts - 8. I was impressed again. Needs a goal but he's playing with a lot of
confidence.
Bamford - 6. Should have scored. I think he's got 7 this season so far. He
really should have double that.
Klich - 6. Good start but faded in the conditions. Looked leggy 2nd half till
subbed.
Subs:
Clarke - didn't look at it.
Dallas - can't remember him doing anything
Douglas - all I remember him is trailing back after Basham before their goal.
12:30 kick offs are shite.
Everyone was pissed off back in the pub until Rotherham equalised but even that
was short lived as Norwich took the lead a few mins later. A very disappointing
day out in the rain. Can't remember getting home.
