Haven't really read up on this thread, but watched Question Time last night and just wondered what people like Betty thought about Scotlands First Minister stating that he'll support ANYONE but England at the World Cup. No objections to Scots doing this, but is it the place of the first minister to help whip up Anti Englishness??? Then it got me on to my favourite subject! Why are there Scottish MP's in Westminster? Why can they have a say on important issues that effect me, but my MP can't do the same on them? Why can't my son get away without paying top up fee's when he goes to Uni, but Stig McDump's lad can? Why do the Scots get a disproportionate amount of our tax money for the same input? Now I'm not anti Celt, I love trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow and have a string heritage in Fyfe. But when it gets to your national leader being a Xenophobe to the English, maybe it's time to say "Fine, lets break the Union" in keeping with the individualisation of Estonia, Georgia et al from the break up of communist Russia, lets give complete indipendance to the Scots & Welsh (As far as I'm aware the majority of Norn Oirish want to stick with us, Verner??) then Jack McConnell can say what he bloody well likes? He might get a shock when he realises 50% of the Oil revenue is infact ours and there only so much income you can generate from Whisky, Wool and Call centres! Anyway, Argentine V Germany ... come on Football! (Cheesy I know, but I am looking forward to a cracking game). Italy V Ukraine ... COME ON UKRAINE, beat the cheating, diving, bribing, boring Italians. Oh and finally, how come that oaf Blatter only singles us out for condemnation when it comes to the style of football, has he not watched The Azurri??
