I do recall some mutterings at the start of the season but I don't think mention of an actual formal meeting was made before the article, and also wasn't the 'gross misconduct' charge related to Blackwell moaning about not having money to spend and that he had asked for some but was turned down?
Anyhow, what actual evidence is there that this meeting DIDN'T take place? Why would somebody make that up now? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 02 March 2007 09:36 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] Subject: RE: [LU] From the Guardian What actual evidence is there that this purported meeting ever really took place other than a random blog on the Guardian website? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mark Humphries Sent: 02 March 2007 10:15 To: 'Richard Naef'; [email protected] Subject: Re: [LU] From the Guardian I thought I was in the vocal minority :) I hold my hands up and admit that after the poor start under KB I thought he went at the right time. I was expecting to move on this season, I suspect that what happened was I let my guard slip and allowed my expectations to exceed realism, but if we had heard about the meeting before the season started I may well have thought different. I always maintain that Blackwell did a good job, but like a lot of people I assumed he had either lost the dressing room this season, or simply had taken us as far as he could. The vocal minority you talk about wanted him out 2 years ago! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Naef Sent: 01 March 2007 22:02 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LU] From the Guardian > season, and based on results we all said it was time for > Blackwell to go, however if we had heard this story before > then we (well some of us) might not have been so quick to > blame him personally for the results. err hang on Mark, I never once said it was time for him to go and I'd guess that many of the silent minority felt that he should be given more time and resources, but luckily the Gobshite Majority (where is he nowadays by the way - presumably splitting his time in between changing nappies and amusingly accusing innocent men of paedophilia ) had there way and its only been onwards and upwards since then! A few of us (who know nothing) understand that management is a very difficult job and needs time and resources to get it right. ttfn R _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
