Mark, I think we are wasting our time now.

We clearly share the same opinion that for us the priority is to get the
football team sorted out and that Bates retaining control was the best short
term result.

I do not understand the rationale behind LUST wanting Bates to lose the
vote. There was no guarantee whatsoever that following the likely lengthy
control for battle that a benevolent party such as LUST would have ended up
in charge - it could so easily have been one of the other bidders, and
whilst Rick may well have every confidence in both LUST's integrity (which I
don't doubt) or ability to run (or organise the running of) a football club
(which I do have doubts about), how does he know that the other bidders
weren't in it for a pure a simple property deal?

Was he prepared to risk that for the chance of gaining control? I suspect
he was. I was not happy with that risk though.

As far as I am concerned LUST have as much opportunity to get involved with
the running of the club as they did a month ago.

The singular most important factor for me was to get a football team sorted
out on the pitch. A wishy washy statement from a football league lawyer
would NOT appease my concerns about not being able to trade whilst in
administration, especially given the amount of football league clubs with a
chip on their shoulder as it is. It may well have been fine and dandy, but
we didn't know for sure.

We did know for sure that if Bates won we can trade as from Wednesday. End
of. Now all the benevolent parties can give Bates a call and get down to
buying the club whilst Wise & Poyet can get a team sorted out.
