I refer you to my last answer as for the idiotic part.....As the old saying goes.. We see, our own faults worst in others.
The League has to sanction the deal and also say when trading can begin again... The League lawyer, apparently hinted that there could be circumstances under which a new owner might be allowed to trade earlier... My musing (No statement involved) wonder, simply that they may well have looked more kindly, in such matters on someone other than the man who had so recently been seen to use the league rules to his favour at others expense... I'm fairly sure Bates has few friends there, or anywhere outside his little clique at the moment. Such an action would have been discretionary and only made (if at all) if the outcome of the vote had been different. Thus there's have been nothing to prove one way or the other in a legal sense. So now we'll never know. We are stuck with what we've got.. I don't ever recall supporting the Morris bid or championing his cause...So I guess I'm not. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Humphries [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, June 06, 2007 4:07 AM To: 'Nigel Holcroft'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [LU] Still the Best Offer for LUFC?? Another idiotic statement. If there was any hint of that kind of thing going on I am sure Bates' legal team might be rather busy right now. But no, you are suggesting that it is only because Bates won that Leeds can't trade. I'm not Bates in disguise. Are you Morris? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nigel Holcroft Sent: 05 June 2007 18:05 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LU] Still the Best Offer for LUFC?? Wonder if the same hard and fast rule would have been applied to any other winning bidder? That we'll never know Perhaps that was what the League Lawyer chappie was hinting at? They have no love nor sympathy for Bates and are not going to do him any favors... Still he's the best way forward for the club, I hear! As you, so succinctly put it Fan-f'ing-tastic. He certainly is. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mark Humphries Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2007 10:26 AM To: 'Tim Greenwood' Cc: [email protected]; 'Sean Emmott' Subject: Re: [LU] Still the Best Offer for LUFC?? Fan-fucking-tastic.. When was preseason training meant to start? Hopefully we have players we are interested in who are out of contract from July 1st who can join us for training. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
