The Leeds United Supporters Trust currently has vacancies and invites
interest from Leeds supporters who are willing to assist both in our main
activities and with our day to day administration.
We will soon be requiring a new Trust Secretary to replace a member who is
moving away from the Leeds Area.. This position requires an ability to
understand the constitution of the Trust and its regulatory requirements and
to communicate formally with Auditors, Supporters Direct and The Financial
Services authority amongst others.
We would also like to appoint a membership secretary who need not be a
director on the board of the trust. This position involves keeping track of
members details, accepting new memberships and issuing share certificates
and tracking membership renewals. This is very much an administrative role
but is a vital and central function to the Trust.
If you have your own business premises then the Trust will soon require a
new Registered Offfice address for official communications. Please let us
know if you are willing to help with this and to allow the Trust to use your
business address.
We have vacancies for Directors on the Board. The basic duties are not
onerous requiring attendance at approximately 6 meetings per year in Leeds
but we would welcome additional help possibly with their time on any of the
following:
Working on initiatives to promote the social or community aspects of the
Supporters Trust. There is the opportunity for the right person to make this
function of the Trust very much their own and to drive this forward onto a
higher profile, if desired.
Helping to establish an internet-based Trust newsletter. Again for
the right person there is the opportunity to make this function very much
their own project.
Working on a membership recruitment initiative to increase the number of
Leeds fans who take up Trust membership.
There are no qualifications required apart from being a member of the Trust
as well as having an interest in Leeds United football club.
