Scary part is, you could quite easily substitute the names Bush and Chaney,
along with USA into this and make similar complete sense. The politics of
fear, seems to be in vogue.

Fans against fans. This is exactly why we need to be concerned. It is far
too easy for people running the club to put out the line that if anyone
dares to say anything against "them" then they are attacking the football
club. That is exactly what we are seeing. This is no different from the
original 20yr season ticket concept which had the potential of doing exactly

the same thing if it had succeded and the club then ran into further
financial difficulties.
Now we have Bates and Taylor trying to pretend that supporting Leeds means
defending and accepting everything and anything that Bates and Taylor might
dream up.
It is all very well anyone saying that they will protect the club until
their last dying breath but what in practical terms would you actually do ?
We had Astor investments only a few days ago specifically threatening the
continued existence of the club and yet we have true fans who seem quite
able to accept that threat from Astor as if nothing had happened.
There are those, quite a few on this list it appears, who will wring their
hands and say that there is nothing that mere fans can do about it. There
are also others who wish to try, no matter how difficult it may be. If you
cannot help or do not wish to help (and that is down to individual choice)
please at least stand out of the way and don't try to stifle people who are
trying to make a difference.
This thread itself has seen the adoption of Bates original propaganda that
anyone who even appeared to be against him must have been guilty of
previously obtaining free or subsidised tickets. Nice trick, this tirade
against the nameless and unidentified freeloaders who were draining the club

of funds. Given where we are right now surely people don't still swallow
this without question.
