They're quoting his agent, who said a month or 2 back he expected Thompson wouldn't play in the 3rd and hadn't been made an offer.
I can't see the point of keeping Thompson. If he and Flo had been fit enough to play for us, we'd have finished in mid table. Our best player if he can get fit. I'd have Kishishev instead though.
