My my Paul, your investigative powers most certainly have deserted you. Either that or you have taken to wilfully misrepresenting what people say, and actually the way you have 'quoted' me I actually find rather offensive.
At no time did I write that Bates saved us, or even suggested I thought that. In fact I specifically wrote, and I quote " John, I pretty much agree with everything you say, except I have to point out that I haven't once said I thought Bates 'saved' us."
