I have to admit that the reporting of this story has been a tad unfair. The press have enjoyed reporting that the players have not been paid for 7 weeks, however as the players are paid monthly there is only one pay day in a 7 week period. The players agreed to defer one months wages and that 'so far' is all they have had to do. If I was Bates and co I would be paying July's wages from LUFC 2007 and leaving the paying of June's until the FL granted the share as was previously agreed with KPMG.
