What???? The debt didn't actually exist???? Are you anti-ists just making up the reality as you go to support your pre-given assumptions? I can guaranty that KPMG is not going to risk their professional reputation by allowing a creditor to vote based on a debt that does not actually exist. I have not seen any statement from the HMRC that they were ACTIVELY helping us with payments... you make it sound like they were even paying part of the debts from their own pockets. HMRC did nothing to help us. They have not even denied what Bates said regarding their policy to challenge the preferential creditors rule. Bates "poped" us into admin because the club could not service its' debts. Especially the HMRC debt. Even all sold season tickets during the season 2007/2008 would not even service half of the HMRC debt. Actually - the club would have to sell close to 2.000 adult season tickets just to service the interest rates of the HMRC debt. The facts are simple. Leeds (supposedly) United finances have been a mess for a long time. Various owners have tried to postpone calling in the administrators because of personal interests (rathers wanting to sell than to go into admin and getting nothing of course) and on the hope that promotion would solve all our problems. Bates took the neccesary steps. He fought to keep the club alive (probably more because of his own interests than ours - but he did it!). Bates has us now in a healthy position. In my opinion the -15 points are certainly not his fault and instead of focusing your hatred and anger towards Bates, you should channel it against the HMRC (that prevented us from going through the CVA process) and the FL + the chairmen.
