Any match reports ? Anyone one of the 800+ Leeds fans
that travelled to the dump that is Brighton's ground ?
Listening to Radio Leeds Eddie Gray said that is was
'dire' and that is strong coming from Eddie. He said
that if he was a neutral he wouldn't come back to
watch after seeing that performance.
Also Ray Wilkins was at the game and he apparently
couldn't believe how the players of both teams were
unable to string 2 passes together. Sounded from the
commentary that Douglas was the culprit on more than
one occassion and I had to laugh when Adam Pope
described one through ball which would have put Carole
in on goal as 'hopelessly over hit with the outside of
his boot'. Another win but I really think Denis needs
to have a look at that central pairing. I think I'd
swap Carole over to the right and give Costa a run on
the left and then give Prutton a run centrally. I
think he needs to be thinking about a loanee in
midfield and then bring someone in Jan.
Rugby Union - not sure if there are any fans of this
game on this list but I thought the final was
shocking. Two teams who did nothing. At least England
tried to play a bit of flowing rugby. South Africa,
the new world champions did nowt. Also, I felt England
just didn't have the fitness or skill to really hurt
the South Africans. Only Tait showed any promise. As a
game I think it's shite and the excitement factor for
me was about 1 out of 10. Not good for a world cup
final. At least we can forget about rugby union for a
while now. It was supposed to have taken off after the
last world cup but it didn't and now it's just a minor
sport in my opinion. Bag of shite.
