Sounds like a good evenings telly wasted, glad I chose to watch Borat on DVD and then Get Carter on the TCM channel.
The whole world cup passed me by and I am proud to admit it, I also didn't watch the Grand Prix (another tedious spectator sport) which produced another great british 'nearly', hopefully now the sports pages will be able to write about something else, perhaps the press should concentrate on the winners for a change, it would have been nice to see them celebrate James Toseland becoming World Champ in the world superbike series, granted it might be seen as a minority sport but it is a proper world championship [not like the US baseball world series ;o) ], but what would be nice was if the bastards could write about Leagues 1&2 in the national press. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Walker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Slack, David (DTF)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 22, 2007 8:49 AM Subject: Re: [LU] Brighton / Rugby Union > Listen mate - I am no expert but taking that final on > its own - England did try and pass / run with the ball > and did manage to nearly score a try.
