Yes some cars can corner more quickly partuicularly in the wet.  However, my 
speed entering the corner is higher, I brake later, and pulll out  more 
quickly. There are still straight bits betwen the corners
 

This is  a modern
misconception about driving, that a car that is able to do 0-60 in  x
amount of time is what is central to the enjoyment of a car ... It  isn't.

Sadly finding a decent road that hasn't been ruined by the PC  Brigade
these days and is speed bump/chicane/road work free is  increasingly
difficult.
Agreed, and when you find them thay are unmarked narrow roads, barely wide  
enough for a car, another reaso to get a bike


Going fast in a straight line does not constitute a great  drive/ride
wouldn't you agree
