May I opinionate and dare to say that there are so many 1 or 2 song wonder bands at the moment who enter in a blaze of glory and then fade away.....of which I'd include fellow fans the Kaiser Chiefs. Overrated entirely, and "Ruby Ruby Ruby" ad infinitum? Zzzzzzzzzzzz...
I now expect to be flamed to death and chased to the south pacific by a Springfield-esque lynchmob... -----Mensaje original----- De: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] En nombre de Richard Naef Enviado el: jueves, 29 de noviembre de 2007 14:21 Para: 'Leeds List' Asunto: Re: [LU] Good music > Why is it that the only good new music these days comes from old > timers, the latest is from Robert Plant, Led zepellin if you are too > young to remember him) "Raising Sand" the Gone, Gone,Gone track is > terrific. Doh! don't start that again Are you bored today ;-) IMHO there is not Good or Bad music as objectively there is no method of measuring its "good" or "bad" ness. There is only music you like and music you don't like. If nothing you have heard from anyone born since the WWII rings your bell, that's your problem not Music's. I shall download the track you suggest and see what I think. I grew up with Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Bob Marley, Talking Heads etc, but there is plenty of recent music I like as well, Kaisers, Gorillaz, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Amy Winehouse, The Streets to name a few. ttfn Richard _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
